Endnote is a paid program. It is recommended to always use the latest version of Endnote.
If you are an employee or student at the University of Copenhagen, you have access to EndNote through the Software Library in KUnet.
EndNote on Mac. If Endnote won't launch on Mac, check if the EndNote menu appears at the top of the screen.
If the menu appears, EndNote is running. But no library is open. Create a new library by clicking "File" and "New...".
Some reference standards abbreviate journal names. This applies, among other things, to the Vancouver standard.
For example,
the journal: Journal of the American Society for Information Science
Abbreviated: J Am Soc Inf Sci
The abbreviations are controlled by journal abbreviation lists, which must be imported, in Endnote.
In the pop-up window I select "Journals" and click "Import List..."
Mac: You have to locate the Endnote folder: Hard disk/Applications/EndNote (EndNote version number)/Terms
Select the list that fits your subject area and open it.
