Danish Studies: Welcome

The subject covers Danish and the languages of the other Nordic countries, their literatures, media and gender studies. These topics are analysed methodically and theoretically with analytical, historical and presentation-related perspectives and they are placed in a humanist, scientific and social-scientific context.

The subject makes it possible to specialise in literary theory and analysis as well as literary history, communication and media, language - including Danish as a foreign language - as well as the didactics of Danish. The subject touches upon a number of other areas, such as comparative literature, rhetoric and linguistics, film and media studies, the study of cultures and minorities and pedagogy.
