ITU Library Service is a collaboration between the IT University of Copenhagen and the Danish Royal Library. The collaboration between the ITU and the Royal Danish Library was established at the end of 2007.
The agreement on ITU Library Service contains different services, see the annual plan for ITU Library Service.
As an ITU user, including ITU students and ITU employees, you have access several online databases and journals through the search system soeg.kb.dk/. Under the tab ‘E-resources’ you will find a list of all ITU e-resources to which you have access when you are logged into www.soeg.kb.dk.
ITU students are welcome to use the study and reading facilities in the library at South Campus, Karen Blixens Plads 7. You also have the possibility to book one of the group rooms for your project work or assignment writing.
ITU employees and students can request physical books in the library system, soeg.kb.dk. Requested books can be picked up at the South Campus library or at one of our other libraries.
ITU course managers can book library introductions to literature search when students participating in their courses have to write an assignment, such as bachelor or master thesis or other assignments. We can adapt the content and length of the introduction to your particular course and what the students need. See examples of courses the library offers with an overview of courses, or write to us at ITU-biblioteksbetjening@kb.dk.
The library also offers a general introduction to the library for new students for all bachelor and master programs and for master students. ITU course managers can contact the library, ITU-biblioteksbetjening@kb.dk, and book a shorter or longer introduction to the library and how students gain access to online articles and databases, which they can use throughout their studies at ITU.
ITU students can also get guidance on your literature search when writing your bachelor or master thesis, by using our service “Book an information specialist'.
